‘La Dama del Lago’ is located on Lago Gutierrez (Lake Gutierrez) in the area know as "Los Coihues". It is centrally located with a short 15 minute drive into the main city (shopping/restaurant) area and the ski mountain, Cerro Catedral, only 10 minutes away. Arelauquen is located across the lake, 5 mins away, and offers fine dining and, arguably, the best golf course in South America.  The National Park is literally at the end of the road and offers many spectacular walks and longer hikes for more enthusiastic visitors!

If you are visiting in summer, enjoy the use of 2 adult kayaks launched from your private beach, hike or take a slow walk in the National Park, launch yourself off Cerro Catedral on your mountain bike or enjoy a round of golf at Arelauquen,

In winter, a short drive delivers you to Cerro Catedral, South America’s winter playground.  With their greatly expanded offering of ski runs (opened in 2006), Catedral is simply stunning. 

Dining is to be enjoyed in Bariloche year-round.  “El Talisman”, in the Arelauquen Lodge, offers afternoon tea and gourmet dinner of Patagonian delicacies and a fine selection of Argentine and international wines.

"El Refugio", at the end of the road, offers winter local delicacies and a great playground for kids to enjoy afternoon tea.

Travellers with kids – La Dama del Lago is a child friendly house fully equipped with kid-safe barriers to the stair way, fully enclosed upper floor, outdoor playgym and large grassed play area, full sized cot and change table, play pen for really young ones, kids cutlery, 2 high chairs and bathtub.

There is a supermarket(5 min walk) for supplies, and a small takeaway for a quick meal or use of their internet cafe (3 min walk)
