Villa Traful is located in the heart of Nahuel Huapi National Park, less than a two hour drive from Bariloche. No matter what season you visit in, you can be assured that you will have an extroardinary time. Lake Traful is a powerful and spectacular sight. Nothing can quite prepare you for the beautiful blue and jade green waters of this amazing gem. The area offers a tremendous diversity of recreational and sightseeing opportunities, and has numerous hiking and walking trails. The town of Villa Traful has its own charm. Small but well-appointed with restaurants and stores, the townsite is an ideal getaway destination in summer when swimming, horseriding, trekking, rafting, canoeing, hunting, mountain biking and world class fly fishing predominate. Wildlife is also a major draw with Magellanic woodpecker, the shyer torrent duck and the condor commonly sighted.
