I wanted to take a few moments to write about my experience with Mark of ApartmentsBariloche and their property management services. I live in the US, and bought property and then built a house in Villa Traful (VT1) after a visit in 2002.
Patagonia is an amazing place, and to try and convey the beauty and allure of this special place on earth in a brief paragraph is bound to fail. Patagonia must be experienced. It is not surprising then that visitors such as myself are moved by such an experience, and want to capture a little piece of Patagonia and make it their own.
For many tourists, the cost of buying property in Patagonia is quite reasonable. The true value in what one can purchase here, particularly in relation to what is available in Europe or the US, is as they say a ‘no-brainer’ and well worth the travel! The problem is ….. Then what?! The perils and pitfalls for the foreign property owner are significant and not to be taken lightly. Even the smallest detail becomes a logistical challenge which consumes ones precious time and energy. The pride and joy of ownership can quickly become frustration and worry without the proper support to help take care of ones property.
This then brings me back to Mark of ApartmentsBariloche. We have recently contracted with Mark to manage our property in Villa Traful. Mark’s professional, motivated, service-oriented efforts and “can-do” attitude have been a huge help to us. I cannot convey how powerful the words “Don’t worry, I’ll take care of it.” are to a landowner such as myself. One anecdote to illustrate the above is how Mark took care of a plumbing problem we recently had. He first found a reliable plumber for us, but since he (the plumber) didn’t have a car, Mark personally drove him the 100 kms to our house to fix the problem. THAT is the sort of work-ethic and the type of personal attention that allows me to rest easy, knowing my property is well cared for.
Also, rather than having our house sit vacant the majority of the year between our visits, with Mark’s help we are now renting it out. Thanks to Mark our second home in Patagonia, previously a ‘labor of love’, will now be a professionally managed, revenue-generating and worry-free labor of love!

I also found Mark a great ambassador for Bariloche. The chalet H15 was as he described prior to our departure. The hire car, delivered to the airport by Mark cheaper & more convenient than hiring from town. The best thing about dealing with mark@apartmentsbariloche.com was the 'local knowledge'. Where to go, where to eat etc etc. And one last thing, if something would have misfired - we could count on Mark's stepping in and fixing the problem.
If you think that I am carrying on a bit - well yes I am but that is only because one seldom meets people with Mark's integrity.

My 15 year old son and I love to snowboard and decided to try summer boarding. We wanted a combo of a great mountain and a great place to come home to at the end of the day. Bariloche and the slopes of Cathedral fit the bill. Where to stay? We looked at just about every option - hotels, lodges and rental. No question, the website for Apartments Bariloche offered the best choices. The views looked great from the super modern apartments. But, we are 1/2 way around the world and needed to feel comfortable with the people running the service. We've been lucky and not so lucky with short stay places before. I called and talked to the people involved and felt pretty good. We selected apartment AT1 and asked for the pantry stocking option and an in-house chef. We hoped we would get what we were promised. We got a lot of "Don't worry, it'll be fine" answers.
We were not disappointed. Far from it. Nothing was as promised - it was all better. We were met at the airport, had help loading the car, were met at the apartment by Claudia who showed us everything we needed to know. She gave us advice and numerous ways of contacting people if we needed anything. The cabinets had everything we had requested and more. There were even special treats just added as Claudia thought we might like them. There was coffee ( a new pack) for use in the super fancy espresso machine - again, just added as she thought we would be tired and might like some coffee. No charge for the extras by the way.
The apartment? I don't have the images on this computer, otherwise I would send them. But, the website has good shots. It is truly a modern, make that very modern, clean and warm place with the most incredible day, sunset and night views. We actually stayed in the apartment for all meals just to enjoy the views. We never closed the curtains. The shower was so nice with a jacuzzi and, well, cool looking walls of shiny metal rock tiles. Even the light switches were a new flat touch sensitive type - actually kind of fun to use.
The wireless was super fast. High res. satellite TV in the living room and both bedrooms. I Skyped with video with no problems.
We had Richard, the chef, three nights. It was as if we were visiting dignitaries. The food was great with an explanation as to each dish. We requested Patagonian dishes and he varied the three nights with each being memorable. He selected wine and was right on with each choice. The cost was crazy low - hard to believe given the quality. He and his assistant started the cooking before we got back from the slopes and timed it just right.
What went wrong? The internet went down. We called and someone came within 30 minutes. We had unplugged it - oops. Otherwise, I don't think I can remember a single thing I would have changed. This is only the second review I've written for trip Advisor. I felt the need to write it as I was so impressed. It is impossible for someone not to be happy with Apartments Bariloche. Ok, I only stayed in one apartment. But, I'd bet plenty that the others are just as good. I stayed with Apartments BA (Buenos Aires) which is a sister organization. Although the views were not as good, they did a great job too.
That's it. No way to go wrong. You will love it!! Splurge for the chef. The company does not make money from it, they just arrange it. Ask him to make empanadas. Soooo tasty!

It's a fact, if you want to have the single best apartment rental experience of your life, rent AT2 and rent from Apartments Bariloche.
This company was a dream to work with. Claudia is the most accommodating hostess, and took step after step to ensure that not only our apartment was satisfactory, but that our experience in Bariloche was top notch.
Now, to the apartment. AT2 was the kind of home that Vincent Chase would celebrate in after another blockbuster movie premiere. It was luxurious, spacious, clean, well-designed, and had a balcony and view that pictures simply cannot do justice to define. You. Must. Stay. Here.
Furthermore, my group got stuck in Bariloche for an extra night due to a flight cancellation, and within minutes of informing Claudia, she had a new apartment picked out for us for the night, closer to the airport to make our trip easy the next day, and even arranged our transportation to the airport the following morning.

Those who know Patagonia know what it means to wake up and end the day looking at some of its wonderful lakes, particularly the Nahuel Huapi.
To get a site like this is not simple, not blindly trust the Internet varied. Well, it gives me great satisfaction to say that through Mark and his excellent team, it is entirely possible, and more. Not only has given me
and I'm thoroughly enjoying everything promised (AM2 apartment), but I admire the good taste, quality and warmth of the environments, and the myriad details of practical use as well just to feel that one is immersed in
a cozy and beautiful nest. And the big surprise: half of the apartment has wall to wall windows overlooking the majestic and serene Nahuel Huapi... and the other half face a beautiful forest! Until the full-bath is light all

I had been to Bariloche before but this last time was really amazing! And it has a lot to do with Apartments Bariloche's great service. My four year old son and I stayed in an apartment on Moreno street. Clean, spacious and dreamy decorated. It was perfectly located too! Close to restaurants and all main attractions we didn't have to rent a car. Lorena was extremely helpful and took care of every detail. I'd definitely recommend Apartments Bariloche!

My wife and I went to Bariloche on our honeymoon in April 2008 and we both loved it. Just from research we decided to go there and rented a house H14 from apartmentsbariloche.com. We were a little concerned with choosing a house not having seen it prior but it was totally amazing for sure. It was located on the lake overlooking the Llao Llao resort and the most tranquil setting we have ever been. The house was way too big for just 2 people but we spoiled ourselves since it was our honeymoon. The indoor pool and outdoor hot-tub were the biggest hit. Wow! My experience with Apartments Bariloche was about as good as it gets. I had originally booked an apartment with Apartments Bariloche in the Fall, but several weeks before my trip Lorena, one of the Apartments Bariloche managers, sent me an e-mail saying that the apartment originally booked had been sold, but that they could either give me a refund or put me into an even bigger and better apartment at the same cost. I chose the apartment (AT1) and am I ever glad I did ! I´ve traveled all over the world, and this apartment was unquestionably the best place I´ve ever stayed in. It contained three flat screen tvs, cable with access to a number of english language stations ( I kept track of the US markets via Bloomberg), a whirlpool bath, a stainless steel kitchen including a cappuchino machine. Since I´m not a very good cook, I limited my use to the toaster, microwave, and cappuchino machine, but the kitchen had just about every appliance a serious cook would ever want. The best part of the apartment was its location. It was perched on a hilside about 300 feet above the lake. The living room and both bedrooms had floor to ceiling picture windows, and the view of the lake and surrounding mountains was fantastic. During the day I could sit on the couch watching hawks dive on unwary seagulls, and at night, I could look down on the lights of the west end of the city. The apartment was also furnished with a lot of tasteful art. It was very pleasant living there. I realize that I just lucked into staying at this apartment. It normally costs twice what I paid to stay there, but for those who can afford it, you certainly get a lot for your money. I do need to caution you older travelers, that while it is only 5 or 6 blocks from the main thoroughfare, it does sit at the top of a steep hill. I didn´t mind because I came to Bariloche to train for next spring´s early 5k races, but many older folks will not like the walk. In such a case, I´d suggest renting a car, the apartments include individual garages for each apartment. I found Lorena to be very helpful, and very honest.I had absolutely no problem retrieving my deposit as I have elsewhere. Her english is also very good, and if , like me, your Spanish is not very good, a manager with good English is a godsend. There is also a permanent resident from the United States living in the building, and he was a great help in describing varioustrekking opportunities and the best places to eat. ( Definitely try Albierto´s).
All in all Apartments Bariloche gets my top rating. ( And I´m really not all that easy to please).

After living in Bariloche for two years, my wife and I decided to buy a new apartment (LS1) in downtown Bariloche.
It took us almost one year to find the right property, and thanks to the professional and knowledgeable ApartmentsBariloche we made the right decision. Mark from ApartmentsBariloche was always willing to answer all our questions and advise us where we had doubts, before and during the buying process and during the decoration process. He got us in contact with some of the best professionals in construction and decoration, and believe me, that is worth a lot here
in Bariloche. It took 3 months to completely finish the apartment and before putting it on the rental market, Mark arranged us one of the best photographers in Bariloche. The final result was and
still is amazing. We couldn't be more happy with our new place.
One week after finishing the apartment, Mark got us a last minute booking for 3 weeks, and within only 2 months he managed to get us about 6000 US$ in bookings. We can notice very well that Mark and Lorena are trying to become the best in what they are doing and are probably the best agency to work with in Bariloche. If we would ever decide to leave Argentina, we know our property will be looked after !!

It was very confortable and the views were spectacular! Carlos and Anna were very nice and helpful. We invited them to have dinner with us and got to know them. The owner Sergio called the night before we left and wanted to come over and meet us, but
unfortunately, we were leaving so early in the morning that it just wasn't practical. We would have liked to have met him. My husband and I never got to meet you and Mark in person either, since my parents and their friends came in earlier than us. We hope to meet you next time. We have some friends that will be coming to Bariloche next year and we will definitely recommend that they try to stay in the

We wife and baby just got back from Bariloche and we rented an amazing rental property. I've been to Bariloche many times over the years but this was the best property/hotel we stayed in. The last trip we stayed at Design Suites which was a great stay and the view was great.

It was hands down the best view of any place we've stayed in Bariloche! Amazingly romantic, very peaceful and complete quiet overlooking the lake and mountains. I doubt you could get a more romantic setting. We stayed for a week and their agent, Claudia met us at the airport with a rental car that we rented. Our stay was perfect. The property had it's own covered garage for the car. We didn't want to leave each day because of the amazing view! We had our 10 month old baby with us and they had set up a baby crib. It's was a really great and romantic trip. I highly recommend the property and would stay there again.
My family and I just got back from a 7 night stay at LM5 with AparmentsBariloche. It was really amazing! Last year we stayed in AT1 which we really loved. We thought the view from AT1 couldn't be beat but LM5 really was breathtaking. The view was much more amazing as you are higher up and there are windows from the entire living room and dining room and the master bedroom and secondary bedroom had floor to ceiling windows with sweeping views.
The photos on their website are accurate. One thing we enjoyed was the outdoor space. We have a 25 month old and 10 month old and they were able to go out on the terrace area as it's fenced off. The views from the terrace are also amazing. We didn't use the outdoor BBQ grill but they had one if you like to cook.
The place is really quite large. We didn't begin to use all of the space as we only used the downstairs bedrooms. We stayed in the master bedroom, our youngest in the bedroom right next door and then the other our 25 month old. The view has to be one of the best in the world.
There is plenty of space to park. We rented a car as usual, which is the way to go in Bariloche. Like last time, their agent, Claudia met us at the airport and accompanied us to the house to show us everything.
Wi-Fi internet was very quick, there was a local phone line and there was DirecTV in the living room and master bedroom. It was well equipped. We liked the bathroom and kitchen better in AT1 as it was renovated but everything worked well in the property and the water pressure and temperature was really great for being such a big house. Definitely if you are traveling with a larger group or family this is ideal as there is so much room. At $425 a night it's great value if you would have to get multiple rooms at a hotel.
There isn't any way I'd stay in a hotel in Bariloche over one of their properties. We go to Bariloche every year and will continue using ApartmentsBariloche. Simply the best.

From the moment I walked in the door of apartment AT1 I was blown away by the style, class and sheer beauty of the apartment.
The kitchen was immaculately clean, complete with all the cooking utensils I would require to attempt to spoil my partner with my very lackluster but adventurous cooking skills. With modern stainless steel appliances including an espresso machine complete with quality beans for the latte that I had been craving for weeks, it was clear already that we had made the right decision.
As I continued through to the lounge room I was greeted by an extra wide window that showed off a spectacular view of the lake and surrounding mountains that wrap around the beautiful village of Bariloche (picture shown was taken on my phone, does not do justice to view but you get the idea). The lounge room showed that the apartment had clearly been professionally decorated without taking away any of the comfort levels expected from a four-five star apartment, as my stay went on I found myself consistently trapped on the generous L shaped couch in front of the flat screen TV.
After our long adventurous days of kayaking, hiking, rafting, rock climbing, shopping and of course chocolate tasting, the bathroom supplied us with a luxurious spa bath for relaxing sore muscles and the decor was perfect for providing a calming atmosphere to drift off and forget any worries I may have had.
The bedroom was spacious with plenty of cupboard space for our luggage and gifts that we had acquired during our travels. My partner and I enjoyed the movie channel on our own flat screen TV before we drifted off to sleep in our king size bed after our long days. I don't know if it was the activities during the day, the comfort of the bed or the combination of the two, but I slept the best I had in years in that bed and waking up to sunrises over the lake was the perfect was to begin a day.
All in all I found my experience with Apartments Bariloche to be nothing but positive. Whether it was the professionalism shown by the staff or the comfort of the apartment I was completely satisfied.
My advise is, if you are considering staying in any of their apartments, don't think about it just do it, you won't regret it.

We stayed in apartment (A4) before a long motorcycle trip through Argentina and Chile. The apartment is very nice, with the top floor views of the lake you can see forever. The apartment has a big balcony, very nice to relax on. The staff was wonderful, thanks to Lorena and Claudia.If we come back again we will try to stay here. If there is a nicer apartment in Bariloche I would be very surprised. We have no regrets!

A large group of friends and I visited Barioche for 4 days and stayed at one of their big houses and one of their apartments. Both places were very nice, had gorgeous views of the lake and were about a 10 minute walk to the edge of town. We worked with Lorena to coordinate our stay and she was very helpful, trading emails and accommodating our group as our itinerary and party size changed. This was WAAAAY better than staying at a hotel. We cooked some of our own meals and had a great time staying all together.

I began my search for a place to stay in Bariloche by browsing through the Internet and came upon apartmentsbariloche.com. After viewing some of the properties available I decided to contact them directly and spoke to Lorena. She was extremely helpful and very patient as I had two other couples who were in the decision making process and could not make a hasty decision. We finally decided on a home(H14) which looked beautiful in the pictures and Lorena told me that this was the most beautiful rental house in Bariloche. She was 100% correct.
The house was indeed beautiful and the views spectacular. What was really touching is that the owner of the house left us a gift basket with champagne and sweets! The three couples marvelled every day at how lucky we were to have found this place and I attribute that to Lorena. Ana and Carlos were the wonderful caretakers who cooked and cleaned the house for us every day. What a treat! The house is full of amenities, including a beautiful pool overlooking the lake and a second hot tub overlooking the lake as well. What we enjoyed the most is their parrilla where with the help of Carlos and Ana we would grill our steaks and sausages. Patagonia is a beautiful area with many places to see and lakes everywhere. The real treat was coming back to this beautiful house after visiting all these places. The three couples are already planning our return, and the first person I will contact will be Lorena to try to get this house again!

We arrived from Buenos Aires and drove our rental car to the apartment as per the directions provided by her. We could see the beautiful lake and mountains as we drove up the steep road to the building. Upon arrival, we were greeted by Lorena and shown a small elevator in which we could place our luggage so as to avoid the stairs. She then led us to our unit and the four of us were in awe of the views that presented themselves from the living room and both bedrooms. Although they are definitely the showpiece of the apartment, the amenities and finishes are equally beautiful.
The apartment has all the conveniences of a modern home including contemporary kitchen with auto cappucino maker, full array of utensils ( orange juice presser was great), satellite tvs in all rooms and wi-fi. There are also two bathrooms, one of which has a jacuzzi bathtub.
Lorena provided us with restaurant recommendations and promptly answered any questions that arose during our stay. It was a pleasure dealing with her and the company and we would highly recommend staying in these premises while visiting the area. It is situated in close proximity to the centre of town so one can take a 15 minute walk if they choose to leave the car at the apartment.

We just got back from a family vacation in Bariloche. We rented our apartment through www.apartmentsbariloche.com. We were very satisfied with their services. The owner, Marc, was very responsive during the planning stage. He even arranged a rental car for us from a local rental company priced ~ $15/day lower than other places I checked. He met us at the airport with the car and we drove to our apartment. Apartment (AM2) was nice with a beautiful lake view. Overall it was a great experience.

Once we arrived the villa was even more spectacular than the pictures, Its a top 7 view in the world, indoor pool, live in maid, huge kitchen, and tons of space. Our family just came back from an amazing vacation in Bariloche and we definitely wanted to let everyone know that a big part of our great
experience was due to Claudia and Lorena from apartments bariloche
looking after us. From the beginning the emails back and forth were very helpful for planning and once we arrived the house we rented - H19 was an absolute dream. It must be one of the most beautiful houses in Bariloche! It had more than ample space for our family of 11. The master bedroom was a joy to sleep in, wow! The views fantastic! The game/TV room was perfect for the kids, and the kitchen, complete with Parilla was a cook's dream!
Gaby, the housekeeper was indispensable. She was a sweatheart and ready to do anything we asked. It is a great feature that Gaby is included (within limits) with the house.
The absolute highlight of our stay was the private Chef, Chef Richard -
the dinner was incredible - the house so beautiful that it felt like we
were in a 5 star restaurant. This is a MUST DO for anybody staying at
one of your houses..

My family and I rented a lake-front home (H16) on Lake Gutierrez utilizing the Apartments Bariloche service to rent the home and they managed the home during our stay. We stayed for a month in June and thoroughly enjoyed working with Lorena and Claudia and was very pleased with the home that they recommended to us. I wish every property management company was this competent and nice to deal with! I would highly recommend using their services while you are in the Bariloche area.

We have loved our stay in Bariloche. The apartment (A1) well suited our needs. It is well furnished and has everythingthat you could need for a long or short stay. The two king size beds are very comfortable with good quality linens. The maid came weekly to clean, change sheets etc and towels.The apartment is in a great location right in the center of town.Plenty of shops and very close is good restaurants. We found great supermarkets and good specialized food stores just a couple of blocks. The buses stop right outside the building and will take you just about anywhere in the area for a very small fare. We did lots of hiking in the area and took lots of pictures of the fantastic scenery. One of our last hikes was to Refugio Lopez and although it was a really tough trail - we both remarked that the views - across to Llao Llao and the Lake Nahuel Huapi were the most beautiful we have seen anywhere in the world!

We really enjoyed our time at the H16 home. The views were beautiful, the home was tastefully furnished and peaceful.Its location is ideal. We were able to explore the nearby parks and go hiking, horseback riding, shopping, kayaking etc. We will certainly return! The staff at ApartmentsBariloche.com was very responsive and helpful. We booked a small cabin outside of town (RP3 near Circuito Chico) through Lorena at Apartments Bariloche. She bent over backwards to work with us coordinating details of the unit, adjusting our arrival date, local recommendations, getting us a wireless DSL card so we would have internet access, everything!! The cabin is small, charming and cozy, just off the paved main road into town (about 20-ish minute drive), has a slightly squeaky upstairs floor, has satelite tv, close walk to a beautiful, rocky and very secluded beach, and located with great access to hiking, Llao Llao, west end of lake stuff. I highly recommend Apartments Bariloche!!
